Facility Management, as per UNI EN 15221-1:2007 regulations, is responsible for providing the necessary services to support a company’s activities. The set of activities can be divided into two categories: Hard Services and Soft Services. The former focuses on maintenance, while the latter includes all activities that contribute to creating a healthy, comfortable, functional, and safe working environment. An example of Soft Services is cleaning services. Among the essential supplies for this area are Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the protection of the operator, disposable paper products, detergents, disinfectants, and specific accessories. Several brands can be applied to these products to ensure their quality. Among the most important are FSC certification marks, which guarantee that the product has been sourced responsibly (e.g., from certified forests or recycled materials).
