One of the most commonly used products in this sector is thermal paper rolls for cash registers. The Ministerial Decree of July 31, 2013, regulates the use of thermal paper for issuing fiscal receipts. Thermal paper has a semi-glossy appearance and a specific chemical composition: it is coated with a reactive dye that is activated by a heat source. It must also meet certain precise physical and mechanical characteristics (e.g., weight, thickness, etc.), pass dynamic sensitivity and aging stability tests. The manufacturer’s company logo, product release number and date, and certification details confirming compliance with the required specifications must also be printed on the back of the rolls. These specifications are crucial for both users and law enforcement agencies.
